SCOTLAND star Lewis Morgan is attracting interest from Athens giants Panathinaikos as the days tick down to the end of the Greek transfer window, according to reports Stateside.
But there's already been an angry reaction from fans of his MLS side New York Red Bulls about any suggestions that they could let their star man leave.
Morgan, included in Steve Clarke's squad for the Nations League clashes with Poland and Portugal, has been a revelation in the MLS since moving to David Beckham's star-studded Inter Miami side in January 2020.
His form won him a move to New York Red Bulls - but now 'MLS Insider' Tom Bogert is claiming that the Greek giants are monitoring his situation.
They're managed by Morgan's former Inter Miami gaffer Diego Alonso - and are gearing up for a tilt at the Conference League.
SunSport understands, though, that it Morgan is happy and settled in the MLS with La Liga or the English Premier League the only likely alternative transfer destinations he would consider.

Red Bull will obviously reluctant to lose a player who has bagged 12 goals this season - the same as Lionel Messi.
He's under contract until 2025, with the club believed to have an option of a further year.
And fans of the New York side are already at the point of mutiny, fuming about the sale of another of their top performers, Frankie Amaya, to Mexican outfit Toluca.
One fan reacted to the news on social media, saying: "No thanks! He’s not for sale."

A second said: "Best player on the club, not on a DP contract, would be ridiculous to sell."
A third wrote: "I’m losing patience with this club."
Another fan wrote on social media: "If they sell the only goal scoring talent we’ve had since BWP in THIS window, I’m done with these guys."
