Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez will bid farewell to playing for Uruguay this week. The 37-year-old recently announced his retirement from international football and will play his final match against Paraguay.

Suarez spent three-and-a-half years with Liverpool from 2011-14, during which time he scored 82 goals in 133 appearances. After helping the Reds finish second in the Premier League table in the 2013/14 season, Suarez left Anfield to complete a £75 million move to Barcelona where he went on to become one of the club's all-time top scorers.

Earlier this year, Suarez completed a move to Inter Miami in Major League Soccer following his exit from Gremio in Brazil. Suarez is now playing alongside former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba at Inter Miami.

Suarez announced earlier this week that he would be retiring from international football with Uruguay. His final fixture comes against Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier, although a current Liverpool player will not be involved.

Darwin Nunez misses the fixture through suspension after being handed a five-game ban by CONMEBOL earlier this summer. As a result, the Reds striker will not be involved in what is set to be Suarez's final match for Uruguay.
