Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut has revealed that Aaron Ramsey is out of Saturday's trip to Derby County.

The Wales captain started Friday's clash with Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium, and came on after 80 minutes for during Monday's win over Montenegro, but has returned to the capital carrying a suspected hamstring injury.

The 33-year-old is now set to miss the upcoming clash with the Rams, with Bulut admitting he's not totally sure about the severity of the midfielder's latest injury setback.

"We will miss him for Derby," Bulut said when previewing the upcoming trip to Pride Park.

"The last national game, he played 20 minutes (against Montenegro) and felt a little bit on his hamstring, so that's why he has to take a little bit of time.

"I hope it's not something serious."

Pressed on a possible timeline for Ramsey's latest injury, Bulut added: "I know only from our medical staff that he played the national game and after that he was feeling a pain on his hamstring.

"Now we have to wait to get the full report but he will not be with us on Saturday."

It's the latest of several blows for Ramsey, who missed a significant chunk of last season with a knee injury.

He was also withdrawn with a knock during the closing stages of the 5-0 defeat away to Burnley. As too was captain Joe Ralls, who in contrast could be in line for a return to the squad ahead of the trip to the East Midlands.

"Joe Ralls trained with us and he will be available," Bulut said, adding that it will be a boost to have the skipper back in contention this weekend.

"Rallsy is the captain of the team and a leader on the field and also off the field. It's always good to have him in the team.

"He missed games because of his hip and groin injuries. Right now he trained fully with us and I hope nothing will happen before Saturday."
