Birmingham City v Inter Miami friendly teased as Tom Brady asks David Beckham question
Birmingham City minority investor and NFL legend Tom Brady has cheerfully proposed a Blues v Inter Miami friendly to David Beckham
Chair of Birmingham City's advisory board and minority investor Tom Brady has been active on social media having clearly enjoyed his evening in the Second City as he watched Blues come from behind to beat Wrexham 3-1, in the presence of a host of fellow A-Listers.
Blues, thanks to Jay Stansfield and Tomoki Iwata, secured victory despite Jack Marriott's early opener for the Dragons, in the match dubbed the 'Hollywood' derby because of Brady and Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the latter who was also in attendance alongside David Beckham, Gary Neville and other famous faces.
Beckham, who founded Inter Miami in MLS and recruited the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba to form part of his team, enjoyed his evening in Birmingham as he posted a photo of himself and Brady together at the game, with the caption: "Great night my friend @tombrady."
Brady's story was full of photos from the evening, including one of himself upon arrival to St Andrew's with the caption: "KEEP RIGHT ON." On the back of Wrexham employing another NFL great in Eli Manning to pose in a Dragons shirt in the build up to the fixture to stir the pot, he also posted a photo of himself and McElhenney in which he asked the question: "At what point are you guys having Eli parachute into the stadium in a full uniform?"

Next, Brady posed for a photo with Knighthead guru Tom Wagner, added: "Me and Birmingham's favourite Tom..." The New England Patriots legend finally asked the question of Beckham: "When's the @intermiamicf friendly???"
The idea of a friendly is an exciting prospect were it to come to fruition; it wasn't too long ago that Blues had been looking into the idea of playing the Wrexham game in the States to take advantage of the global interest surrounding the fixture. Even CEO Garry Cook said prior to Monday's game: "Well personally I think that is a great idea.
"I think the EFL wouldn't see it that way, and I think the history and tradition of our sport and our league tries to ensure that that doesn't happen. That doesn't stop making it a global game even though you're playing here in Birmingham."
