The Friedkin Group have confirmed that they have reached agreement over the terms of the sale of Blue Heaven Holdings’ majority stake in Everton Football Club

Everton have announced the agreement of the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% stake in the club to the Friedkin Group. The owners of AS Roma have come back in for the Blues after previously ending talks in July after a period of exclusivity.

A joint statement from Blue Heaven Holdings (through whom Moshiri has his shares) and the Friedkin Group said: “Blue Heaven Holdings and The Friedkin Group confirm that they have reached agreement over the terms of the sale of Blue Heaven Holdings’ majority stake in Everton Football Club.

“The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, including from the Premier League, the Football Association, and the Financial Conduct Authority.”

Moshiri, who took control of Everton in 2016, has been trying to offload his shares for over two years with the Kaminski Group, MSP Capital, 777 Partners and most recently John Textor, who holds a 45% stake in Premier League rivals Crystal Palace – the Blues’ next opponents on Saturday – all having been in talks over that time.
