Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson is a transfer target for two Premier League clubs ahead of the January transfer window according to fresh reports.
SunSport claims Fulham and Brentford are keen on signing the 32-year-old England international in an attempt to strengthen their forward line. The Bees are keen on finding a replacement for Ivan Toney while Fulham want to strengthen their options in the striker position and have money to spend.
The Magpies striker has made just six appearances in the calendar year of 2024, with injuries continuing to plague his career. Last week Eddie Howe confirmed that Wilson is unlikely to feature until after the October international break, while Osula was only given his United debut in the latter stages of the defeat to Fulham on Saturday.
The Newcastle forward missed the entirety of pre-season after injuring his back over the course of the summer, after making 26 appearances last season, scoring ten goals and notching one assist.
Wison's contract at St James' Park expires next summer, leaving Newcastle with very little time to cash in on the forward. The report claims the Magpies front man would be open for a move away from Newcastle, having fallen down the pecking order at the club.
Alexander Isak has been Howe's go-to choice to lead the line, with Wilson looking for more gametime. The Toon are understood to be keen on freeing up funds for their January transfer business, with Marc Guehi likely to be among them.
Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin was also on the Magpies transfer wishlist according to reports, and the Toffees striker could be set for a cut price move. The 27-year-old could be available on a free next summer with his contract on Merseyside set to expire, though Fabrizio Romano claims that talks with Calvert-Lewin and Everton are yet to progress, with discussions planned for later in the year.
