A virus in Wolves’ camp may see several players miss tomorrow’s clash with Liverpool. The Reds travel to Molineux for tomorrow's 5:30 pm kick-off as they look to extend their perfect form on the road.

Arne Slot’s side are expected to welcome back Alisson in place of Caoimhin Kelleher, who has filled the void of late.

However, the Black Country side will have just three recognised central defenders to choose from, leaving Craig Dawson, Santiago Bueno, and Toti as the only available centre-backs.

Wolves’ boss Gary O’Neil revealed a virus had ravaged his squad, he said: “There’s quite a bit of illness actually.”

He added: "There’s probably a few that will need to check tomorrow on how they’re feeling. There’s a little bit of a virus going around so Dr Kai Win has been busy this week trying to help the lads feel a little bit better.

“Quite a few missed training today, so we’ll see how they are tomorrow.”

This may prompt the Wolves manager to pick 20-year-old Alfie Pond, who could make his Premier League debut against Liverpool.

The defender has previously featured in two Carabao Cup ties but has not played higher than League Two level. On Pond, O’Neil said: “Alfie Pond, for instance, gets a step closer — a boy that was out on loan last year at Stockport. He is extremely excited this week that he’s up and around it and has a chance of featuring in Premier League games.”

O’Neil will also be without defender Yerson Mosquera who suffered a knee injury that looks likely to rule him out of action for the remainder of the Premier League season.
