UFC superstar Conor McGregor was spotted with Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice after Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

First-half goals from Kai Havertz and Saka were enough to defeat the Ligue 1 champions, leaving McGregor in high spirits as he took to the Emirates pitch to kick about with Rice and Saka post-match. However, seeing the 'Notorious' pose for snaps with the Arsenal pair has led fans on social media to question which football team the former two-weight UFC champion supports.

In 2019, the 36-year-old revealed that while he was "more of a player than a watcher" during his youth, he was attracted to Manchester United's winning culture under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and fellow Irishmen Denis Irwin and Roy Keane.

"I was more a player than a watcher back then, but Manchester United was my team," McGregor told FIFA. "It was only the other day I came across an old picture of myself wearing that infamous grey United jersey, which I bought with my [First Holy] Communion money at eight years of age. I see my son when I look at that photo. I'd love to know where it is now. A truly 'Notorious' football jersey!

"I was attracted to the success and winning mentality of the club and people surrounded by United. Irish legends like Denis Irwin and Roy Keane were dedicated to their craft and had that winning mentality. Roy Keane was one of the best midfielders European football has ever seen. Opponents would be mentally beaten before they'd even stepped onto the pitch to face him. "Then they had the don of football at the helm, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson. To have that much success over such a long period is remarkable and something I continue to aspire to.

"And he did it by nurturing youngsters into stars and not by spending and spending and spending like some of these other managers. It's been great to see Sir Alex getting back to full health and continuing to be at the United games. What passion! I wish him and his family all the best.

But just three years later, the former featherweight and lightweight contender appeared to switch his allegiances to Liverpool ahead of the 2022 Champions League final in Paris.

Asked for a prediction ahead of the game against Real Madrid, McGregor said: "You know, my family are Liverpool, I'm a supporter of Liverpool. I'm a supporter of Real Madrid also. I hope for a great game but I'll have to go with the pool [Liverpool] for this one, I'll have to go for the pool."
