Interim Three Lions boss Lee Carsley is set to call-up Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke to the England squad.

The Spurs forward has scored three goals in six games for Spurs since arriving in north London this summer for £65million from Bournemouth and the Athletic report he will be named in Carsley's squad for the October internationals.

The 27-year-old won an England cap back in November 2017 when the Three Lions played a friendly against Brazil. However, he has not made an appearance for the Three Lions since but looks set to add to his lone cap when England take on Greece and Finland next week.

Elsewhere, Carsley also looks set to leave out Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, as well as West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen, both of whom were named in the England squad for their September wins over the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

So far this term, Maguire has featured in just two of United's Premier League games. The 31-year-old is currently third choice behind Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt at Old Trafford. Bowen meanwhile has scored just once in the Premier League this season.

And Solanke's Spurs team-mate James Maddison also looks set to miss out on an England call-up this time around as well. Maddison was left out of Gareth Southgate's England squad for the European Championships this past summer and will be omitted this time around too when the squad is officially announced.

There is also no place in the senior side for Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, who has shone for Unai Emery's side so far this season. The 22-year-old has produced a number of eye-catching performances for Villa but looks set to remain with the Under-21's for the October England camp.
