Irish MMA and UFC superstar Conor McGregor was filmed apologising to Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka after 'sparring' with him on the pitch at the Emirates Stadium.
McGregor made headlines around the world on Tuesday night after making a surprise appearance in North London for the Champions League tie between Arsenal and PSG. The 36-year-old was at the fixture to promote his Irish stout 'Forged' after his team contacted Spanish businessman Alvaro Canas about the prospect of attending.
His appearance had the desired effect and McGregor also benefitted from an experience that all Gunners supporters would dream of. After the full-time whistle, the Irishman took to the pitch alongside Saka and Declan Rice to have a kick around.

McGregor was clearly in his element on the field and appeared to be having a good time with the English internationals. In previously unseen footage from the visit, the fighter posted to his Instagram more clips of the kickaround including a 'sparring' session with Saka.
It soon became clear that the forward had bitten off more than he could chew in this light-hearted duel as he backed off as McGregor worked the leg. Spotting that Saka was reluctant to join the tussle, McGregor quickly stopped while laughing, hugged the winger and apologised.
Mikel Arteta will be pleased to see that there was never going to be a serious risk of injury to Saka as he remains a pivotal figure for the Arsenal squad. So far this season, the 23-year-old has bagged two goals and five assists in all competitions for the Gunners.
