Legendary former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been named Red Bull's 'global head of soccer' and will get down to work in January.

The grandiose title bestowed on the Kop legend will see him act as the key man atop the energy drinks' sports department – with teams such as Leipzig, Salzburg and New York under their umbrella. The shock move will see Klopp get back down to business in the New Year, after hinting his career could be over after leaving Liverpool in the summer.

But the 57-year-old will retain an exit option to become the Germany boss after Julian Nagelsmann – with Klopp never hiding his desire to one day manage his country before he calls time on his career. Sky Germany, posting on X, wrote: "Starting on January 1, 2025. Klopp has already signed a long-term contract. Additionally, Klopp has secured an exit option allowing him to become the head coach of the Germany national team in the future.
