CELTIC hero Kyogo insists he will never forget his 'precious days' playing alongside freshly-retired Barcelona and Spain legend Andres Iniesta.

The pair played together at Vissel Kobe in a period where they won the J League, Japanese Cup and Japanese Super Cup and the Hoops striker has often namechecked the midfielder for the role he played in taking his game to another level.

Iniesta called time on his illustrious career in the sport yesterday at the age of 40 and Kyogo was among those paying tribute to a special player.

Sharing a picture of the pair together at Kobe, he wrote: "It seemed short but it was long, intense and special time.

"Being able to play together, sharing the time together.

"My precious days that I experienced so many things and improved myself. I never forget these and will never do.

"I really appreciate it. Thank you."

The affection is clearly mutual between the pair - with Iniesta claiming at one point that the Hoops man was one of his favourite players to play alongside.

Speaking to Yahoo Japan, Iniesta said: “I had the opportunity to play with the best players.

“For example, Samuel Eto’o, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez, David Villa, Fernando Torres...

"I also had a pretty good connection with Kyogo Furuhashi in Japan.
