THE word controversial hardly does Giovanni di Stefano justice.

The madcap lawyer who calls himself the Devil's Advocate has claimed to represented warlords and despots such as Arkan, Slobodan Milosevic, Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and Robert Mugabe.

He once claimed Roger Moore wanted to give evidence at his fraud trial and has said that he tried to persuade both Edgar Davids and Paul Gascoigne to sign after being welcomed onto the board at Dundee FC back in 2003.

And now the man whose story has been retold in an Apple TV documentary - has just revealed in a video message that he has opened talks with current Dee owner Tim Keyes over a shock return to the club.

It's not known yet exactly what capacity the lawyer could return but he promises there will be "other developments on this matter, hopefully sooner rather than later".

In the message, he says: "This is Giovanni de Stefano and it is now the 9th October 20124.

"Just a very quick update on Dundee FC, I have been in contact with Tim Keyes and there will be other developments on this matter, hopefully sooner rather than later."

The current Dundee board - who found themselves massively criticised over repeated postponements at their Dens Park ground.

But they've shown no shortage of ambition in recent times, including releasing stunning footage of how their proposed new £95m Camperdown stadium could look.

The club has been looking for options away from Dens Park since 2016 and a video they've released provides an incredible glimpse of the future, with a stadium which includes a brew hall and a rooftop terrace.

Ambitious plans detail a 12,500 seater stadium, with 2,400 seats located in a 'safe-standing' zone.

There are also plans for the stadium capacity to be expanded to 20,000 seats for concerts and other events.

The stadium fly-through also shows there is room for a bar and restaurant, and rooftop terracing for supporters.
