Real Madrid are tracking Tottenham defender Pedro Porro, and may face competition from Barcelona for Benfica youngster Alvaro Carreras. Elsewhere, Christian Eriksen is expecting to leave Manchester United in next summer’s transfer window, and Leicester City's veteran striker Jamie Vardy is weighing up his options, including a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Athletic notes that Real Madrid have interest in a number of right-backs and could soon make a move with Dani Carvajal’s recent injury.
While Trent Alexander-Arnold leads the analysis, the website notes that Pedro Porro has been on their radar for some time.
They write: “This is a player Madrid have been compiling positive reports on for years.
“His ability, age and wealth of experience in La Liga with Girona and Real Valladolid, in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon and now in the Premier League with Spurs are all big pluses. The 25-year-old has also made three Spain appearances and was recalled to Luis de la Fuente’s squad for this month’s two Nations League fixtures.
“The most significant obstacles to any potential move are that he has a contract until summer 2028 and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known to be a tough negotiator - something executives at the Bernabeu are well aware of, with Madrid having previously signed Luka Modric and Gareth Bale from the north London club.”

Barca to battle Real for Fernandez

Former Manchester United defender Alvaro Carreras is attracting interest from La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Mirror thinks both Spanish sides are tracking his development, but United also retain a buy-back clause.
The paper writes: “Barcelona and Real Madrid are both interested in making a move for Alvaro Fernandez, the full-back who Manchester United let go for only £5 million last summer.
“Now at Benfica, the 21-year-old has impressed to the extent that the Spanish giants have had their interest piqued.
“Barca and Real are looking at Fernandez, who has played every minute of Benfica's past seven games.
“But United are understood to have a buy-back clause that could see Fernandez return to Old Trafford instead for a fee.”

Eriksen expects to leave United

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen was linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer, and he appears unlikely to stay next season.
The Denmark international is out of contract in the summer, and there are no talks about an extension.
The Daily Star notes: “Christian Eriksen has revealed he's not in discussions about extending his stay at Manchester United beyond the 2024/25 season.
“The veteran Danish midfielder, 32, is set to become a free agent next summer and has hinted at a fresh adventure away from Old Trafford while on international duty with Denmark. Eriksen was a part of Erik ten Hag's early haul when he took over the reins at United back in 2022, bagging the midfielder on a free transfer after his inspiring stint at Brentford post-heart scare.
“The ex-Spurs star has donned the United shirt for 80 matches during his three-year tenure, scoring six goals and registering 16 assists. He was pivotal in Ten Hag's debut season at Old Trafford, when The Red Devils nabbed the Carabao Cup and secured an impressive third-place finish in the league table.
“Eriksen is rumoured to be on his way out next summer, when he becomes a free agent once more. The seasoned midfielder has confessed he's not in discussions with United about extending his stay and reckons he'll be in a different spot when the season wraps up.”

Vardy explores Saudi move

The Sun believes that Jamie Vardy’s recent trip to Bahrain could be linked with a potential transfer.
The Leicester City striker is wanted by Saudi Arabian clubs, and the veteran may now be interested.
The paper explains: “Jamie Vardy and his wife Becky secretly flew to Bahrain this week as Saudi football clubs continue to clamour to sign him.
“Insiders said Vardy, who is set to leave Leicester next summer, flew out to the country where fellow Brit Steven Gerrard lives.
“The couple stayed at the Four Seasons hotel in the country, which is next door to Saudi Arabia.
“A source said: ‘Jamie and Becky went to Bahrain this week to check it out.
“‘He is in demand from Saudi clubs and while he’s still playing the field he could see what it would be like to possibly live out there.’”
