Man Utd consider Howe

Manchester United are considering a move for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, it has been claimed.
Under Erik ten Hag, United are languishing 14th in the Premier League table with just two wins from their opening seven games.
As a result, Ten Hag's job is reportedly under pressure and should the club decide to replace him, Howe is said to be a candidate.
"Manchester United are weighing up a swoop for Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe amid uncertainty about Erik ten Hag's future, according to reports," states the Express.
"Sir Jim Ratcliffe could be set to launch his latest heist at St James' Park after luring the club's sporting director, Dan Ashworth, to M16.
"According to GiveMeSport, Ineos are ready to persist with Ten Hag, hoping that the coach they backed with another £200 million and a one-year contract extension in the summer can turn things around.
"But it's claimed that they are already assessing alternative options in case United's worst start to a Premier League campaign continues.
"The report adds that United's new football leadership team - chief executive Omar Berrada, technical director Jason Wilcox and Ashworth - are huge admirers of Howe.
"And it's suggested that they may be willing to bite the bullet and commit to the 46-year-old's hefty compensation package to snatch him from Newcastle.
"While United understand Howe will be difficult to appoint, his CV has impressed Old Trafford bosses and could inspire an audacious approach."

Maguire could leave for just £10 million

Harry Maguire could leave Manchester United for just £10 million in January.
The Daily Star claims The Red Devils are prepared to listen to offers for the defender in the upcoming window.
“Manchester United will listen to offers for Harry Maguire in January - starting at just £10 million,” reads the article.
“That price, a huge reduction on the £30m he would have cost barely a year ago, underlines that United consider the England defender dispensable.
“Although Maguire is into the final nine months of his £200,000-a-week contract, United have a one-year extension option.
“Should they fail to sell him at a cut-price in the January window, they will trigger that clause and try again next summer.”

Juve want Calvert-Lewin and Beto

Juventus are “eyeing up Everton for a double transfer swoop”, according to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, via The Mirror.
The Italian giants are considering a move for Dominic Calvert-Lewin – whose contract is up in the summer – and Beto.
“La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Old Lady are eyeing up a January move for the Everton forward Beto, who has scored just three goals in 30 Premier League appearances for Everton since his £25.8m move from Serie A side Udinese in the summer of 2023,” states the outlet.
“Despite his struggles on Merseyside, Beto does still have a good reputation in Italy thanks to his 22 goals in 65 appearances for Udinese, and the report states that Motta sees the Lisbon-born Guinea-Bissau international as the perfect cover for Dusan Vlahovic.
“Looking further ahead, a separate report from Corriere dello Sport states that Juventus are interested in signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer at the end of the season when his Goodison Park deal expires.
“There has been no movement on a new deal for Calvert-Lewin, who is believed to be eyeing a fresh start at the end of the campaign, at which point he would have been an Everton player for nine years.”

Liverpool eye former Man Utd player

Liverpool could make a move for former Manchester United player Alvaro Carreras.
The left-back departed United to join Benfica in a £5m deal in May but could make a quick return to England.
Carreras never made a senior appearance for The Red Devils but has impressed in Portugal.
“Liverpool are interested in ex-Manchester United star Alvaro Carreras, according to reports,” writes The Sun.
“Just five months after his transfer, Spanish outlet AS claim he has caught the eye of Liverpool.
“Carreras' contract at Benfica runs until 2029 and there is thought to be a release clause that Arne Slot's side could trigger - though the amount is unknown.”
