Danilo is the headline injury update at Rangers as Philippe Clement provided news on FIVE of his stars.

The Brazilian has struggled during his time in Glasgow with injury since his big move last season under Michael Beale - but he is back in training with the first-team squad ahead of the showdown at Rugby Park with Kilmarnock. It's set to be a hectic schedule for the Ibrox men as they begin a run of SEVEN games in just three weeks across three competitions including the Europa League and Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Motherwell.

The return of the hitman for the busy period ahead comes as a big boost to the Belgian boss who could also welcome back Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo within the next week or so. Oscar Cortes still faces a number of weeks on the sidelines while Ianis Hagi serves a suspension after a red card on his big return to top team action. Decisions are still to be made over Ross McCausland ahead of the Sunday TV game. He had a small issue before the international break and has been training but is not certain to be fit.

Addressing the media ahead of the trip to Ayrshire, Clement said :"Luckily, no injuries from international duty. The only one is Ross [McCausland] but he had a small issue before the break, he is back in training but not certain to be available. [Ianis] Hagi is suspended.

[Oscar] Cortes will be out for several weeks. Ridvan [Yilmaz] I expect back in training next week, [Rabbi] Matondo later on next week or the following week. Danilo is back training with the squad - we will see how fit he is for the weekend."

He added: "We need to work hard, recover correctly and be ready for this packed schedule. For everyone in football, particularly those with European football, it will be a challenge over the next few months so we are making sure the players are properly prepared.

"We need to continue to improve, we are working hard every day with all the staff. There are steps made, but we still need to make several steps to get where we want to be. Everyone together wants to get better as we rebuild. It's about working hard to improve things.

"It is about winning at this club. Of course, there is a process to get to winning as you rebuild things in such a big way but our focus has to be on winning."

On what he expects from Kilmarnock, he continued: "Expecting a tough test, a place where you need to adapt - no excuses, you have to be prepared for the surface and the style of play. We are looking forward to a battle for the three points."
