AMAD DOUBLE STEERS MAN UTD TO FIRST EUROPA LEAGUE WIN
Amad Diallo scored both goals as Manchester United picked up their first UEFA Europa League win of the season, beating PAOK 2-0 at Old Trafford.
The win continued a string of encouraging performances under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who embraced his two-goal hero as the youngster left the field as a substitute in the second half.
Amad opened the scoring shortly after the break with a back-post header that he directed into the far corner, and he made the game safe with an excellent second goal. It was Amad himself who won the ball back, pressing PAOK, and his curling shot from outside the box picked out the bottom corner, aided by a slight deflection.
Victory in Van Nistelrooy’s penultimate game in charge puts them on six points after four matches in the Europa League, lifting them up to 15th in the table.

    BRILLIANT FLOWING MOVE
Zirkzee, on as a late sub, starts an attack for United with a lovely cross-field pass. He very nearly finishes it off, but can’t quite reach a Rashford shot that almost turned into a cross as it skimmed past the far post.

GOAL! MAN UTD 2-0 PAOK (AMAD)

UNITED COULD DO WITH THREE POINTS
Three games and three draws isn’t a disastrous start for United in this competition, with a spot in the top 24 in the table enough to ensure at least a play-off spot in the knockout stages. But they could do with a home win to send them up the standings. We’re into the final 20 minutes.

    HUGE CHANCE
PAOK should be level as Tissoudali is picked out in acres of space in the middle of the box. He has time to take a touch before shooting, but his effort is straight at Onana. What a chance!

    REF GIVES A CORNER
Garnacho weaves into the box and goes down as he goes to shoot. There are huge appeals for a penalty, but replays show that it was the United player who kicked the defender, and a spot-kick would have been harsh. VAR agrees.
