Manchester United beat PAOK 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.

A tepid first half saw very few chances created. Amad was denied a penalty after he was brought down in the area but the VAR decided not to intervene while Andre Onana produced a decent stop to prevent Mady Camara from putting the visitors ahead.

United scored early in the second half as Amad headed home Bruno Fernandes’s cross. Amad then doubled his and United’s tally with an excellent curling effort into the far corner.

Here are how the players rated at Old Trafford.

Andre Onana

Made the only memorable contribution of the first half by tipping Camara's shot over and denied Tarik Tissoudali an equaliser. 7

Noussair Mazraoui

Switched to right back after having his best performance at left back against Chelsea and had little trouble yet did little attacking. 6

Victor Lindelof

Recalled on rotation grounds and could not even impose himself against PAOK. Unconvincing but the goal made his night a lot easier. 6

Jonny Evans

Might have benefited from starting next to a regular centre half and his wayward header gave Camara a sighter. Helped keep a clean sheet. 6

Diogo Dalot

Back at left back and his poor performance level dipped out of position. Given a breather after an hour as he made way for Lisandro Martinez. 4

Casemiro

The Stretford End sang his name in appreciation for Casemiro's commitment. Another decent shift ahead of another start on Sunday. 6

Manuel Ugarte

Drew applause from Van Nistelrooy with one prompt pass on his third start running. Clearly more at ease in the Europa League than the Premier League. 6

Amad

United's only good outfield performer in the first half and should have had a penalty. Nodded in his first goal since August and his second was even better. 9

Bruno Fernandes

Played one fine pass in 45 minutes as he failed to influence United's tepid attack. Inevitably assisted Amad's header to make it 1-0. 6

Alejandro Garnacho

Played several careless passes when United were on the attack on another disappointing evening. Similar to his performance against Chelsea only he was hooked on 65 minutes. 4

Rasmus Hojlund

Another sluggish and ineffectual performance from a striker with two goals in 11 games now this season. Was not up to it again. 4

Subs

Christian Eriksen

Back in the team after missing a couple of games. 6

Lisandro Martinez

Slotted in at left back for a run-out. 6

Marcus Rashford

Replaced Garnacho. 5

Mason Mount

Fit now that a new head coach is incoming. 5

Joshua Zirkzee

Emerged in the 90th minute. 5

Manager

Made the right change to the attack and Amad was the best player in the first half before he made it 1-0 early in the second and then scored another. 8
