Borja Mayoral's house, located in Pozuelo de Alarcon, burnt down on Monday while the player was collecting the Zarra Trophy. According to ‘ABC’, the fire affected part of the first floor and one of the rooms of the property. Fortunately, the house was empty and there were no people injured.

A fire burnt down one of the rooms in Borja Mayoral's house on Monday. At the time of the incident, he was collecting the Zarra Trophy, the award that accredits him as the top Spanish goalscorer of the 2023-24 season. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The fire broke out at around 14:30 in the afternoon in the Madrid municipality of Pozuelo de Alarcón, in a two-storey house that was empty at the time, according to a spokesman for Emergencies 112 of the Community of Madrid.

According to ‘ABC’, the house belongs to the Getafe striker, who went to the Marca Awards around the same time to receive the Zarra Trophy, an award he shares with Morata and which recognises both as top scorers in La Liga last season.

Two firefighters from the Community of Madrid went to the house and extinguished the flames, which affected the first floor and one of the rooms, where they had to dismantle a plywood panel to prevent them from spreading further. The ground floor was not damaged.
