Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim drops Luke Shaw hint ahead of Bodo/Glimt fixture
Man United defender Luke Shaw could be in line to start the Europa League clash with Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford.
Head coach Ruben Amorim has hinted Luke Shaw could make his first start for Manchester United since February when Bodo/Glimt visit Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Shaw made his first United appearance in 280 days against Ipswich Town on Sunday, stepping off the bench as a second half substitute.
The England international missed the end of last season with a muscle injury and then suffered a calf injury just days before United's 2024/25 Premier League opener against Fulham in August.

Having stored 34 minutes under his belt at Portman Road at the weekend, Amorim has described Shaw's condition as 'healthy', refusing to rule out the possibility of him making his first start of the season against the Norwegian side.
Amorim, speaking to United's in-house media, said: "Licha [Martinez] is ready to play. Harry [Maguire] is returning. That's a good thing.
"Leny Yoro is improving his fitness. Luke is healthy. So let's see if he plays in the starting XI or not. We will see. But with all the squad, we are stronger. It's normal. So we are ready to go."
Amorim, speaking at Wednesday lunchtime's press conference at Carrington, confirmed the visit of Bodo/Glimt had come too soon for Maguire to be involved, meaning United are set to remain light at centre-back. The United boss will want to recover him and other currently injured players as quickly as possible to deal with the hectic fixture schedule.
Asked if rotation will be key, Amorim continued: "That's the idea and they are international players. All of them are in Manchester United.
"They are ready to play every game and we have a lot of games, so we have to rotate the team. It's something we have to do, we need to do and it’s good for the team, especially in this moment.
"We are putting a new idea. Everybody has to play and everybody is ready to win matches."
