Ex-Rangers star Ryan Kent forks out on huge six-figure purchase as he returns to the UK – one month after leaving Turkey

RYAN KENT has a history of making extravagant purchases.
It was only last year that it was revealed the former Rangers man had forked out to buy a pet crocodile while over in Turkey.
That was certainly a bizarre buy, but his pet croc isn't the only investment he's made in wildlife.
The out-of-contract winger is now back in the UK splashing the cash on another animal after being released by Fenerbahce last month.
Kent, 28, is known for his love of exotic animals.
But the former Liverpool wide-man has also ventured into another sport with some big buys.
The ex-Ger has been investing in some of the biggest horse racing talents of the future and forked out £145,000 last year to own a stud believed to be a Royal Ascot competitor in the future.
Now he has added another horse to his collection.
Kent was one of the many buyers at Tattersalls this weeks as the foal sale went through the gears.
And he capped his latest trip to Park Paddocks with a 200,000gns purchase (the equivalent to £375,000) to land a Mehmas filly bred by Michael O'Leary's Plantation Stud.
The filly comes from a strong bloodline, with the pedigree going back to the champion two-year-old Blue Duster.
Daniel Creighton has been bidding on Kent's behalf and he spoke to the media after making the most recent purchase.
He said: “She’s been bought to race. Obviously Mehmas is flying this year and she’s out of a Lope De Vega mare, which is the same cross as Persian Force and Gubbass.
"That’s worked before and she’s out of a black-type mare too. She’s a lovely physical, a nice, well-grown filly, so it made a lot of sense.”
On the six-figure price tag, he added: "You'd expect to have to pay that when the stallion is so proven and given her pedigree. If I bred a a foal like that I'd be disappointed if I didn't reach those sort of heights."
Creighton says Kent is becoming a huge investor in the Sport of Kings and expects a strong year for all of the footie star's racers.
He said: "He's spent a lot of money so we're hoping we're in for a good year next year.
"He's got some nice prospects. He's got half-brothers to Marshman and El Caballo going into training.
"He's got a nice Sea The Stars filly in France who's a half-sister to Stanhope Gardens. He uses Karl Burke mostly, he'd be the main trainer."
"He loves the sales ad is very into his pedigrees.
"He's very involved n looking at videos and pictures online I always tell vendors, especially as a lot don't put pictures and videos up, that they don't realise how important it is."
