KRIS BOYD hasn't shied away from speaking his mind about Rangers this season.

The Rangers legend and SunSport columnist has taken aim at Philippe Clement and the Ibrox board for decisions made both on and off the pitch in recent months.

But he hasn't been alone as many of his fellow pundits have shared the same views.

Pressure was beginning to mount on the under-fire gaffer after the 1-1 draw with Dundee United at Ibrox left Gers 11 points behind Celtic in the title race.

However, the response against Nice and last night's 6-0 rout over Kilmarnock gave fans something something to cheer about.

And Boyd might just be changing his tune on Clement now that Rangers have found their goal-scoring form.

The Light Blues have a mountain to climb if they are to catch Brendan Rodgers' side in the league but that hasn't stopped the Ibrox icon from issuing a warning to the Hoops ahead of the League Cup final showdown on December 15.

Boyd, who was on punditry duties for Sky Sports at Pittodrie, was asked for his reaction to the final result at Ibrox.

He replied: "Be afraid, Rangers are back."

The tongue and cheek one liner from the Gers icon reduced fellow pundits Neil Lennon and Jonny Hayes into laughter in the studio.

Presenter Eilidh Barber wasn't getting carried away by recent results either as she quickly responded: "Oh my goodness, we will find out on Sunday (against Ross County)."

Reo Hatate fired Celtic seven points clear of Aberdeen with a game in at Pittodrie.

But speaking after the 1-0 win, Hoops boss Rodgers shut down any claims the title race is now all-but sealed.

He said: “There are 38 games in a season so it’s nowhere near done.

“We are only a third of the season in and we don’t think about that.

“I understand people will look at it that way, but there is such a long way to go,

“Our culture is to work hard in training and games and we will continue to do that.

“It was a really important win and it could be significant later on.

“To be seven points ahead with a game in hand is pleasing, but we have to keep pushing.”
