Richarlison and his partner Amanda Araujo have announced they are expecting their first child together, as confirmed on the Tottenham star's Instagram.
Sharing a series of pictures on the social media platform, Richarlison wrote: "Now there are 3 of us," followed by a love heart. The post prompted a response from Tottenham and some of his teammates among thousands of comments.
The club wrote: "Pombo [pigeon] Junior." Dominic Solanke and James Maddison also left a message congratulating the Brazilian.
The 27-year-old has had a difficult time with ongoing fitness issues this season. Spurs confirmed last month the striker had sustained a 'significant hamstring injury' and would be sidelined 'long-term' after having only returned from a two-month absence following a groin issue.
Richarlison has dealt with a number of injuries including calf, hamstring and knee problems in recent seasons. "With Richy it has been frustrating because I see the potential in him and to be fair when he's been fit he's always made an impact, for me anyway," manager Ange Postecoglou said.
"I think back to the start of last year and when he came back into the team during the year he went on a scoring run. Even the little games he's played this year, he's made an impact. So that's what you kind of hold on to, but there's no doubt we need some bolstering in that front third over the course of the next couple of transfer windows."
Tottenham have suffered significantly with injuries this term and currently have Richarlison, Guglielmo Vicario and Wilson Odobert as long-term injury issues. It is possible Ben Davies joins them after suffering a hamstring problem in the 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Mikey Moore is working his way back to fitness after suffering with a virus while Micky van de Ven (hamstring tightness) and Cristian Romero (quad) are sidelined.
Yves Bissouma (one-game ban) and Rodrigo Bentacur will serve suspension. The latter has received a seven-game ban for racist comments about teammate Son Heung-min.
Tottenham will take on Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium in the Europa League on Thursday night.
