Owen Hargreaves:"A massive win It was almost a must-win game. There was massive pressure... There were still some mistakes in there with the mix-up with de Ligt and Onana, but a really good response from the team. It wasn't vintage but the second half was much better. Amorim made some subs and it had a big impact on the game."

Karen Carney: "It is literally about the substitutes (changing the game), but I also think the game was more stretched and it kind of helped United. Just look at the stats. In the first half they (United) had three shots and in the second half they had 14, so there was a big difference."

Super sub Rasmus Hojlund struck twice to spare goalkeeper Andre Onana’s blushes as Manchester United came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory at Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League.

The Red Devils bossed possession but initially struggled to create much of note with Bruno Fernandes seeing a 25-yard drive well saved in what was otherwise a dour first half.

The match then exploded into life on 48 minutes when Onana’s wayward pass inside his own area allowed the hosts to take advantage with former Watford and Burnley forward Matej Vydra firing into an empty net.

Ruben Amorim responded with a trio of substitutes that altered the complexion of the game and one of those changes delivered almost immediately as Hojlund touched in Amad Diallo’s deflected cross-shot on 62 minutes.

The away side dominated from that moment on and deservedly took the points when Hojlund rifled in Fernandes’ disguised free kick two minutes from time.

 The result means United have now won three of their six matches in the competition and are within reach of finishing in the top eight of the league phase.

Next up, Manchester United visit neighbours and reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City in the English top-flight on Sunday afternoon.

The Dane is at the double! Hojlund darts on to Fernandes' clever free kick and rifles in what looks like being the winner.

Mount makes a clever diagonal run into the right side of the box to latch on to Hojlund's pass, but again his low strike can't beat the 'keeper.

Højlund is just the third player to net nine major European goals for The Red Devils while aged 21 or younger after Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney (9 each).

It feels like there will only be one winner if we are to have one - but time is running out for Man Utd.

It's a huge moment for Mason Mount as he looks to polish off a super counter, but his low shot from eight yards is brilliantly blocked by Martin Jedlicka in the Plzen goal.

Fernandes and Antony combine well in and around the right edge of the Plzen area, but then the latter undoes the fine work with a shot that flies miles over the crossbar.
