Ange Postecoglou is speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham's Premier League match against Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday evening.

It is a game of huge importance to Postecoglou and Spurs as the team look to return to winning ways after a tough run of late which has seen the Australian come under fire.

In his latest pre-match press conference, Postecoglou will discuss the 1-1 draw at Ibrox, the latest news on the injury front going into the Southampton match and also the performances of Lucas Bergvall and Timo Werner against Rangers.

Ange on Davies' injury

Ben, that was a week ago and it’s not as bad as we thought. There is a chance he’ll be back, hopefully, before the new year. So, that was positive. Again, initially we were a bit worried but you need to give it a week to settle down. The latest information I got this morning that it’s nowhere near as bad as we thought it was and hopefully a quicker turnaround.

Ange on Romero, Van de Ven and injury news heading into this weekend

No, mate. Obviously guys get injured and without getting too technical, you need to let the injury settle down before you get a real prognosis so it will probably be next week some time with Micky and Cristian. Everyone got through last night, so they are all good to go. Biss is suspended this weekend, so he’ll miss out.

Ange on Southampton's performances this season

Not just at home but in all the games. They've played some pretty exciting football against good teams. Russell will just be frustrated they've not sustained it or got rewards for it.

Ange on playing youngsters in such a difficult situation

You don't want to by design but it will bear fruit for us for sure.

Ange on Werner

Last night wasn't about Timo Werner, it's the situation we're in. There are other players who could also give more to what we were trying to do last night. I just felt last night because he hasn't played a lot there should have been some freshness around him.

Ange on Werner

We've got a limited number of players. It's a great challenge. I want people who are up for that challenge.

Ange on those Werner comments

No. It wasn’t criticism, it was assessment. I’m not going to go around worrying about bruised egos. If somebody who’s fit feels he needs something extra in this moment, he’s probably not the right type.
