Gale force winds to rock Celtic vs Rangers as weather forecast predicts chaos for Premier Sports Cup final

Get the windbreaker out if you're heading to Hampden for the Premier Sports Cup final - because it's set to be a gusty one.

Celtic take on Rangers in Sunday's showpiece at the national stadium as Philippe Clement looks to defend the trophy that has so far proved his crowning achievement as Ibrox boss, while counterpart Brendan Rodgers looks to reclaim the only one that evaded him last season. It's a resurgent Rangers against an all-conquering Celtic, and it's all set up to be a corker in Glasgow's south side.

But even if the football doesn't blow you away, the conditions just might. That's because the Met Office are predicting rising winds which are set to peak out during the game, reaching highs of 48 miles per hour. Anything above 39mph is officially classed as a gale-force wind, while the Met Office will issue yellow warning if, as forecast, they reach more than 40mph.

Winds are expected to reach 46mph when the game kicks off at 3.30pm. There is also, helpfully, a 90 per cent chance of rain. Ideal conditions!
