MORE than THREE years have gone already since Walter Smith passed away at the age of 73.
But for an army of fans - and particularly his former players - he will never be forgotten.
And one such nine-in-a-row hero is former Gers midfielder Ian Durrant.
The product of Kinning Park is steeped in the club and he was pictured last week meeting up with pals of that era at a Christmas lunch in the West End - with Smith's seat taken by his son Neil.
And Durrant has revealed another touching nod he gives to his former gaffer - in his Christmas decorations.
He shared a picture of his Instagram account of his Christmas tree, replete with special decorations reading 'Smith', 'McCoist' and 'Durrant' - each of them with the Gers hero's likeness.

Fans were loving the classy gesture, with the post gaining 1,472 likes in the last three days.
One fan wrote simply: "Brilliant".
Another follower on Instagram wrote: "Love this. Merry Christmas to all the Durrantys"
