EVERTON have picked up dramatically since losing 4-0 at Old Trafford a month ago and the Toffees can halt the Nottingham Forest bandwagon at Goodison on Sunday.

Sean Dyche's side drew 1-1 at Manchester City on Boxing Day before Forest inflicted more misery on Spurs and they also drew with Arsenal and Chelsea after beating Wolves 4-0.

Keeper Jordan Gainford chipped in with a penalty save from Erling Haaland on Thursday and Everton's mean defence had gone 3 games without conceding before Bernardo Silva's opener for City.

Forest have been little short of sensational as they've climbed to third spot but Everton could be serious value at 8/5 here and they have 2 more home games to follow next week's trip to Bournemouth.

BLACKBURN were a goal up and a goal down before drawing with Sunderland on Thursday and I'm backing Rovers to get back to winning form with success over Hull at Ewood Park.

John Eustace has guided the side to 5th place in the Championship and serious play-off contention and tmorrow's match looks a good opportunity to bank 3 points after matching the Black Cats 2-2.

COVENTRY should find Millwall stiffer opposition than Thursday's opponents Plymouth but Frank Lampard's Sky Blues seem to be improving under the former Chelsea boss and 4/5 looks decent for another home win.

Wayne Rooney's Argyle couldn't lay a glove on Coventry on Boxing Day and Millwall look to be regressing after defeat at Norwich left them 9 points off the play-off positions.

League One's third-top WREXHAM should get the better of Wigan at 4/5 after Thursday's home win over Blackpool and SALFORD can continue their good run with success against Morecambe at 7/10.

ST MIRREN could be occupying a heady 4th position by the time Dundee United and Aberdeen do battle at Tannadice but the Buddies have to put the Rangers win behind them and be totally focused on beating Dundee.

The visitors chose Boxing Day for one of their worst performances of the season in a 3-0 loss to Ross County and Tony Docherty's players are 14/5 to bounce back with a win and 5/2 to take a point.

If you missed the live coverage, I can tell you that Saints were much better than the highlights showed them on Thursday night and a 4th successive win looks on the cards at a generous 10/11.

Will Celtic will get value for money on Kieran Tierney's HUGE wages asks Kris Boyd

Championship leaders Falkirk were at Dunfermline on Friday night but the rest of the clubs are in Saturday action and there's a home treble to be had in Scotland's second tier with AYR, HAMILTON and PARTICK.

Scott Brown's Honest Men have banked 6 points against key rivals Falkirk and Livingstone in their last 2 games and I can't see them slipping up at 8/15 against the 'Ton.

Accies are a solid looking 4/5 to beat toiling local rivals Airdrie at New Douglas Park with the Jags taken to beat Queens Park in the Glasgow derby at 3/4 in a treble paying between 7/2 and 4/1 with most firms.

ARBROATH can beat Montrose to maintain pole position in League One and PETERHEAD can stay top of League Two by winning away to Elgin at a still shortening 29/20.

Saturday SINGLE

ST MIRREN landed the Boxing Day Single at 13/2 with a win over Rangers and in-form EDINBURGH CITY could be big value at 3/1 away to Spartans tomorrow.

Weekend ACCA

All of the top 5 play Sunday with the 3-2 England/Scotland split paying out at on Sunday best 40/1.

Everton 8/5

Blackburn Evens

Coventry 4/5

St Mirren 10/11

Dundee Utd 13/10

CELTIC V ST JOHNSTONE Sunday 3pm

Celtic landed my -2 on the handicap advice against Motherwell on Boxing Day with goals from Engles, Maeda, Khun and Hatate ensuring we improved Celtic's price from 1/8 to 10/11.

The champions are back at home against rock-bottom St Johnstone on Sunday and they're the same price 1/8 to beat the 16/1 visitors with the draw at 8/1.

Saints need to bounce back from losing at home to Dundee United but they look ill equipped to take anything in Glasgow and Celtic are worth backing to win to NIL here at 10/11.

MOTHERWELL V RANGERS  Sunday  3pm  Sky Sports

Rangers would rather have flown under the radar after losing at St Mirren but they're live on Sky Sports at Fir Park and the fans will demand nothing less than a win from James Tavernier and his colleagues.

The misfiring Gers are a top-priced 4/11 to get back to winning form in Lanarkshire as Motherwell have home comforts restored after their latest fruitless trip to face Celtic.

The Steelmen are 8/1 for the home win with the draw at 4/1 and while neither of those outcomes would surprise, both teams to score looks the bet here at 17/20 and better in places.

HIBERNIAN V KILMARNOCK Sunday 3pm

Dwight Gayle's winner at Tynecastle gave born-again Hibs a 4th win in 5 games and they might just have the momentum to go and beat Killie on Sunday at 17/20.

Derek McInnes ensured his old club Aberdeen had a less than Merry Christmas with that unlikeliest of 4-0 wins on Boxing Day and I'm not writing them off here after predicting they wouldn't lose against Aberdeen.

Kyle Vassell and David Watson could give Hibs more to think about than Hearts managed and while BTTS won't surprise at 8/13, I'll side with the home win and another victory for the once beleaguered David Gray.

DUNDEE UTD V ABERDEEN  Sunday 5.15pm  Premier Sports

Jim Goodwin has his old club in his sights after United's come-from-behind win in Perth with the Dons slumping to a less than magnificent 7th successive match without a win.

Goals from Glenn Middleton and Sam Dalby against Saints mean that United have close to within 6 points of the Dons and another win tonight will have the newly promoted Terrors fans in raptures.

United are 13/10 to make home advantage count with Aberdeen at 19/10 and the draw at 12/5 and I'll take United to take all 3 points as they close in on third place.
