Trent Alexander-Arnold jetted off to Venice with his influencer girlfriend Estelle Behnke on his day off amid the ongoing uncertainty around his future at Liverpool. 

The defender, who sparked rumours of his new romance last month, was snapped at the lavish Italian restaurant Regina Corner on Monday. The pair had been staying at the £1,5000-a-night Aman hotel in the idyllic city. 

Alexander-Arnold and Behnke, who were recently pictured in the 26-year-old's car as he left Anfield following the Reds' win over Leicester City on Boxing Day, were thanked for 'stopping by' the Venetian restaurant during their short trip. 

The getaway comes during a rare midweek off for the right back following Sunday's emphatic 5-0 win over West Ham, which took the Merseysiders eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold scored his first goal of the campaign in the win over the Hammers as speculation of his future at his boyhood club reaches fever pitch.  

Last week, reports in Spain claimed that Alexander-Arnold, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has made up his mind to join Real Madrid and the Spanish giants are convinced of his imminent arrival.

The pair were thanked for visiting the Regina Corner restaurant and stayed at the £1,500-a-night Aman hotel 

Sources close to Liverpool insist no agreement has been reached. And it is understood the player’s only contacts over his future to this date have been with Liverpool. Those in the Spanish capital are adamant Alexander-Arnold wants a new challenge under Carlo Ancelotti .

It was perhaps telling that he debuted a new celebration when he netted at the London Stadium, making a chatter gesture to his ear when his deflected effort wrong-footed Alphonse Areola. 

'No, I don't think it's negative at all. He's playing really well,' Reds boss Arne Slot told Sky Sports post-match. 'He scored a great goal and the way he celebrated his goal probably tells you enough.'

For now, the defender will be enjoying his time away from the pitch with Instagram model Behnke, who he was first seen with last month while enjoying a a two-and-a-half-hour meal at Cibo in Hale, Cheshire. 

The pair were also spotted at the Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds with both tagging themselves there in separate Instagram posts.

Alexander-Arnold began liking the model's Instagram posts on October 17, only a month after his split from Iris Law who he dated for five months after meeting at a Guess jeans photoshoot.

A friend said there's 'no bad blood' between him and Law but added that 'being a WAG was never really going to be her bag.'

A source told The Sun that despite having a 'really fun summer' and holidaying with Alexander-Arnold's family in July, the pair's busy work schedules are now clashing.

'Life is about to get really busy for them both, with Trent's schedule packed with first-team football and Iris having jobs all over the world.

'So even though they are not dating any more, Iris and Trent will definitely stay friends.'
