Manchester City booked their place in the Women's FA Cup fifth round with a 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town.
There was to be no repeat of the 10-0 thumping which City dished out to the then fourth-tier Suffolk side in this competition five years ago, as they sealed a place in the quarter-finals.
Ipswich came into the clash operating in the Women’s National League South – and they certainly proved to be a harder nut to crack on this occasion against Gareth Taylor's star-studded squad.
City’s class eventually told though, thanks to goals from Jill Roord, Laura Coombs and Vivianne Miedema, with the latter marking her first appearance since October.
Roord broke the visitors' resistance in the 20th minute when she surged towards the box and rifled a finish into the bottom corner past Natalia Negri.
Taylor would have been looking for his side to increase their intensity after the break, and Chloe Kelly almost obliged with a brilliant run into the Ipswich box before the visitors cleared the danger.
Coombs then opened her account for the season to double City's advantage by converting on the rebound after her initial strike hit the upright.
Arguably the most pleasing goal from the hosts' perspective came in the 76th minute when Miedema marked her return following injury with a clinical finish to round off the scoring.
Elsewhere, Mayra Ramirez registered a goal and an assist as Chelsea progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.
Ramirez gave the hosts the lead in the 40th minute with a header from close range.
Chelsea made it 2-0 in first-half stoppage time when Guro Reiten converted from the penalty spot.
Ramirez turned provider three minutes into the second half when she picked out Agnes Beever-Jones, who produced a calm finish into the top left corner.
Niamh Charles wrapped up the win with 17 minutes remaining after finding the top left corner from inside the box.
Gabi Nunes scored a hat-trick to help Aston Villa progress to the fifth round with a 9-0 win over Bristol Rovers.
The hosts were 5-0 up at the break thanks to doubles from Nunes and Rachel Daly as well as a goal from Paula Tomas.
Chasity Grant and Kirsty Hanson made it 7-0 after half-time before Nunes completed her hat-trick.
Jill Baijings wrapped up the emphatic win with Villa's ninth in the 80th minute.
