Leicester will listen to offers for defender Wout Faes and are thought to be willing to sell the Belgium international for about £15million.

After being a regular starter under previous manager Steve Cooper, Faes was instantly dropped by Ruud van Nistelrooy and has not managed to force his way past the Dutchman’s preferred partnership of Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard.

The Foxes expect to announce the £3million signing of defender Woyo Coulibaly from Parma and are also looking for a winger, a left-sided centre-back and a forward to compete with Jamie Vardy.

They are desperate to end Odsonne Edouard’s season-long loan deal from Crystal Palace but he cannot play for another club in the European season.

Their sole hope is to generate interest from Major League Soccer or another competition where the season has not yet started.

Sheffield United are showing strong interest in midfielder Hamza Choudhury, though the clubs are yet to agree on the terms of his loan deal. Leicester are attempting to negotiate an obligation to buy, with Blades willing only to commit to an option at this stage.

Meanwhile, forward Tom Cannon could be recalled from his loan spell at Stoke if Leicester can agree to sell him permanently, with Sheffield United and Sunderland interested.

Faes earned a rare start in Leicester's 6-2 FA Cup third round win over QPR on Saturday. The defender capped off his appearance with his second goal of the campaign.
