Arsenal have been alerted to Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic's exceptional goal-scoring prowess, with a loan move a possibility in light of Gabriel Jesus' injury.

His Juventus teammate Teun Koopmeiners lauded Vlahovic earlier in the season, saying he "lives for goals" after his impressive brace helped Juventus secure a 3-0 win over Genoa.

Following a standout stint at Fiorentina, Vlahovic secured a £66million (€78m) transfer to Juventus in 2022, with Arsenal having been among the interested parties at the time.

Since arriving in Turin, Vlahovic has maintained a respectable strike rate, netting 53 goals in 124 appearances. However, given his enormous price tag, his performances haven't entirely lived up to expectations.

Despite this, speculation surrounding a potential move to Arsenal has resurfaced, largely due to PSG's Randal Kolo Muani nearing a loan deal with Juventus this month.

If completed, Kolo Muani's temporary switch could pave the way for Vlahovic's departure, who tops Juventus' scoring charts with 12 goals from 23 appearances across all competitions this season.

His acquisition would undoubtedly bolster Arsenal's attacking firepower, particularly with Mikel Arteta currently missing the services of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, and Gabriel Jesus, who suffered a ruptured ACL in Arsenal's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United

Koopmeiners told media just how desperate the Serbian is for goals as he told TMW: "I'm very happy for the victory [against Genoa]. He deserves the goal, he works hard for the team. He's a very strong striker and lives for goals," reports the Mirror.

The Serbian international has also been heavily praised by other Juventus teammates, including Filip Kostic, who said upon joining about him: "He is the strongest striker in the league. I’m fortunate to be able to play alongside him."

The striker also appeared to take a subtle swipe at Juve coach Thiago Motta during an international break last November. After competing in Serbia's Nations League fixture versus Switzerland, Vlahovic shared with RSI: "Yes I like to play with another striker on the side.

"I get on well but it also depends on the coach. Definitely it is a bit easier because [Aleksandar] Mitrovic is a strong player who plays a lot with his back to goal and engaging in aerial duels and I can exploit my qualities.

"It's also because coach Dragan Stojkovic did not force me to do so many defensive tasks. And for a player like me, for my frame, honestly, I can't run so much. Because then I am not fresh in the final third."
