NEW BESIKTAS coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eyeing a move for Rangers playmaker Tom Lawrence, it's being reported.
The Man Utd legend replaced Giovanni van Bronkchorst at the helm of the Istanbul giants earlier this month.
Having previously worked with Lawrence at Man Utd, now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Solskjaer is actively targeting the veteran Welshman, who hasn't featured for the Ibrox men since November.
He adds that the player is 'available for free in January'.
Whilst that could just be on a pre-contract basis, given the scale of rebuilding work required at Ibrox, the Gers may also be keen to get him off the wage bill six months early to clear space for other signings.
The Ibrox men announced the arrival of Rafael Fernandes on an initial loan from Lille earlier today.

Recently turned 31, Lawrence has produced a decent return of five goals in 15 appearances this season but his progress has been slowed by injury.
And the likes of Nedim Bajrami, Ianis Hagi and Danilo have seen playing time ahead of him in recent times.
Romano wrote on X: "Besiktas are showing initial interest in Tom Lawrence at Glasgow Rangers.
"Ole Gunnar Solskjær coached him at Man United and now he has 6 months left on his deal, available for free in January."
