Torino's sporting director, Davide Vagnati, is reportedly eager to engage in direct discussions with Everton regarding a potential January transfer for striker Beto.

According to the Mirror, The Guinea-Bissau international has been identified as a prime target by the Italian club during this transfer window, but progress on a deal has been slow.

The situation has been further complicated by Armando Broja's recent ankle injury, sustained during an FA Cup victory over Peterborough, which has significantly reduced Everton's attacking options.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin's contract set to expire at the end of the season, any offers for the English striker will need to be carefully evaluated.

Beto, who has had limited playing time in Merseyside, is open to a return to Serie A, where he previously shone for Udinese.

Torino are interested in arranging an initial loan deal that would also include a clause for a permanent transfer.

Everton originally signed the 26-year-old for approximately £25.8million in August 2023.
