Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca defended Robert Sanchez's form, days after the Spaniard dropped a cross to gift Wolves a goal at Stamford Bridge. Despite Sanchez having commited four errors leading directly to opposition goals this term, Maresca dismissed the latest mistake as merely "part of the job" of a goalkeeper. The Chelsea boss also talked down speculation linking Alejandro Garnacho to the Blues.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca defended goalkeeper Robert Sanchez’s form ahead of the Blues’ weekend encounter with Manchester City.
The Blues led 1-0 against Wolves on Monday when Sanchez dropped the ball while collecting from a corner, allowing Matt Doherty to bundle home the equaliser from close range.
While Chelsea rallied after the break to claim a 3-1 victory, Sanchez’s blunder was a major talking point at full-time.
The Spaniard has now committed four errors leading directly to opposition goals this term, but Maresca dismissed the latest mistake as merely "part of the job" of a goalkeeper.
"He's okay," Enzo Maresca said in his press conference, ahead of Chelsea’s game with City on Saturday. "I understand it can happen.
"How many times Moi [Caicedo] missed a pass? Many times. How many times does Nico [Jackson] miss a goal? Many times. How many times does Noni [Madueke] miss a cross? Many times.
"It is not something strange, it is part of the job."

Maresca 'happy' with attacking options amid Garnacho links
Marseca played down reports that Chelsea were interested in signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho ahead of the transfer deadline.
The 20-year-old has been linked to Napoli and Chelsea over the past few days, with the latter having been widely reported to be readying a bid.
Maresca, however, suggested he had little interest in signing another attacking player.
Asked about the Garnacho links, the Blues boss replied: "I’m happy with what we have at the moment. On the right side it is Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke, on the left we have Jadon Sancho.
"We had Misha [Mykhailo Mudryk] but he is not with us. Tyrique George is a young profile that can help us."
When asked about January signings, Maresca added: "With the club, the sporting directors, we pay attention if something can happen. We will see in the next 10 days if something will happen."
