Fabio Silva showed a matured side unfamiliar to those of a Rangers persuasion in his latest Las Palmas appearance.

The ex Gers loanee's spell in Glasgow didn’t quite go to plan either, scoring only six goals for the Light Blues during the second half of the season, failing to impress the ever-demanding Ibrox faithful. Former Rangers' player Derek Ferguson slammed the striker saying his offered "absolutely nothing" and his form at times was "nothing short of woeful.”

Fast forward to this season and the Portuguese striker seems to have found his home in La Liga. He has bagged six goals in 15 appearances since his loan move to the Canary Islands from Wolves, including the opening goal in the 2-1 win at Barcelona. But the 22-year-old also appears to have matured since his Gers stint, highlighted in the clash with Osasuna on Friday evening.

Teammate Dario Essugo was given a second yellow for dissent over referee Jesús Gil Manzano's decision to book Las Palmas defender Alex Suarez. Essugo lost his cool and aggressively closed in on the ref before a number of team mates stepped in. Silva, linked with a move to Atletico Madrid this window, arrived on the scene and talked down the 19-year-old all the while grabbing his shirt to get him off the pitch. Essugo was then escorted to the dressing room while still visibly enraged.

Las Palmas trailed Osasuna 1-0 at the time before another face familiar to UK fans stepped into the fray. In the EIGHTH minute of added time former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj slipped a free kick and under the wall. His teammates swarmed the Belgian after he grabbed what could be a vital point in their fight against relegation.
