Petrov shares pic of one son in Celtic top and other in Aston Villa kit as fans demand to know ‘who are you supporting?’

IF there's one man out there who is synonymous with both Celtic AND Aston Villa it is Stiliyan Petrov.
The Bulgarian midfielder served both clubs with distinction - with followers of both clubs coming together to show support as he battled with leukaemia.
Understandably, he's got loads of affection for both teams - as referenced by the fact he's just shared a picture of his two grown up sons Kristiyan and Stiliyan Jnr clad in the strips of each of the two teams who do battle at Villa Park tonight.
Sharing the picture on X, Petrov Snr wrote the words: "Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my sons passionately supporting their teams!
"Whether it's the roar of Villa Park or the thrill of Celtic Park, they're always cheering with full hearts and loud voices. Here's to loyalty, tradition, and the love of the beautiful game!"
It's a lovely sentiment - however, it was never likely to be enough for everybody.
While many appreciated his words, fans of both teams rushed to the comments saying he had to pick ONE.
One fan wrote: "You got to choose one for tonight Stan. I'm in the same boat."
A second said: "The question is Stan, which one are you supporting tonight?"
A third wrote: "One or the other Stan. You can’t have both …"
Petrov is keeping his counsel on the matter but the Bulgarian can occasionally be an outspoken pundit who has had no shortage of run-ins with Hoops fans.
He said: "There is definitely a higher possibility for Celtic goals to be checked constantly. Unfortunately the style of play and the movement of the players encourage it. Especially Kyogo, who plays of the shoulders and constantly on the move.
"But, they do check pretty much all goals."
But fans weren't having it, with fans adamant that Hoops goals were held to a higher standard than others.
One wrote: "You'd have a point if it wasn't so frequent, even on goals were there was literally nothing to query. It's blatantly obvious what the officials are at."
Another said: "Come on Stan, we know all goals are checked, but not all goals are checked for two or three minutes at a time, when whatever they claim they’re checking is clear as day in the replays."
A third fan went even further: "Really stupid thing to say though Stan, what’s it got to do with the way a certain team plays or how certain players play lol? Every single goal gets checked by VAR not only in Scotland but the whole world, have you not been paying attention the last few years?"
A clearly irritated Petrov bit back: "Just started to follow football, please enlighten me and we will put it right together."
