Pedri has signed a new contract at Barcelona that will keep the midfielder at Camp Nou until June 2030.
Barcelona have moved quickly to tie down one of their most promising youngsters, with the 22-year-old's previous contract expiring in 2026 and rumours of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
The Spaniard had featured in every La Liga game so far this season under new manager Hansi Flick before he missed the 7-1 drubbing of Valencia through illness.
Signed as a teenager from Las Palmas, Pedri burst onto the scene in 2020, and has since made 175 appearances for Barca's first team, scoring 24 goals in that time.
He has 30 senior caps for Spain, scoring two goals, and he was part of the Spanish side at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where he won a silver medal having been part of the Euro 2020 squad just weeks before.
He started every game of Spain's 2022 World Cup campaign, and was taken off after just eight minutes of the Euro 2024 quarter-final clash against Germany with a knee ligament injury.
Pedri made his Barcelona debut in the 2020/21 season, replacing Philippe Coutinho in a 4-0 victory over Villarreal in September, before he scored his first goal on his UEFA Champions League debut in a 5-1 win over Ferencvaros in October. He netted his first league goal against Real Betis the next month.
He won the 2021 Golden Boy award and the Kopa Trophy to recognise his explosion onto the scene, and he even captained Barcelona at Osasuna earlier this season.
