SunSport’s Jim Delahunt gives his tips for Motherwell vs Celtic, Rangers vs Ross County and picks out weekend acca

Our top tipster has the picks for a 25/1 accumulator - that's £260 from a tenner!

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are 17 points behind city rivals United in the Championship but the Owls are only three points off a play-off spot and look good to beat Luton.

Danny Rhol's players banked an excellent three points in last week's 2-0 win at QPR and they're unbeaten in their last four games at Hillsborough with two wins and two draws since their 1-0 defeat to Blackburn seven weeks ago.

Scotland international Callum Paterson was back in the side for the first time in a year at Loftus Road and he marked his return with the second goal in a convincing win for the visitors.

Luton arrive without a win in any of their last eight games and the Hatters are currently on a losing road run of 11 matches, the latest three defeats coming at Oxford (2-3), Nottingham Forest (0-2, Cup) and QPR (1-2).

Wednesday are 5-6-4 at home and very much the form side in this one so I reckon 21/20 and slightly better with some firms merits this week's top billing.

CARDIFF landed last Saturday's headline bet at 6/5 with a 2-1 win over Derby but the Bluebirds are away to 1/4 league leaders Leeds and they've only won once on the road all season.

Fellow Welsh side Swansea host Frank Lampard's COVENTRY and the Sky Blues can make it four straight league wins under the new boss with another success at 17/10.

The Swans are still favourites at 6/4 here but skipper Matt Grimes was on the verge of joining the Lampard revolution last night and he leaves a side with one point from five league games in January.

League One leaders BIRMINGHAM look a remarkably good price to take their home league record to 10-3-0 against mid-table Rotherham at 8/15.

City's main rivals Wycombe and Wrexham face tricky trips to battling bottom three sides Cambridge and Crawley respectively and Chris Davies' side has a chance to pull further clear at the tip ahead of next week's glamour FA Cup tie at home to Newcastle.

WALLSALL suffered back to back road defeats at Bradford and Fleetwood last week but the League Two leaders can get back in the winning groove at home to Salford.

The visitors are without a win in three games since an 8-0 Cup battering at Manchester City and The Saddlers' 11-2-1 home record makes the 17/20 look the best bet in the division.

ST MIRREN have lost their last two home games to Dundee United and Dundee and while making it three from three over the third Tayside club St Johnstone might be harder than the betting suggests, the Buddies can be punters' pals at 4/5.

Kilmarnock and Dundee United are both in search of a much-needed win at Rugby Park on Saturday evening (5.45pm) but there's more than just fence-sitting involved in suggesting a third successive draw between the pair at a general 12/5.

AYR at 21/20 and QUEEN OF THE SOUTH at 4/5 landed the two Scottish lower league bets last Saturday and Scott Brown's second top Honest Men should be worth keeping on side at 3/4 away to troubled Hamilton.

The Championship's second top club have won both games, away and home, against the Accies this season and the clash between first and third, Falkirk and Livingston will have been keenly watched by everyone at Somerset Park.

Saturday SINGLE

Burnley (0-0) couldn't justify switching the bet to Monday last week but DUNDEE are 2/1 to beat Hearts and that's the weekend's big value.

WEEKEND ACCA

heffield Wednesday 21/20

Coventry 17/10

Birmingham 8/15

Hibs 4/5

Ayr 3/4

Three homes and two away this week with all five winning paying out at better than 25/1 with most firms.

MOTHERWELL V CELTIC  Sunday 3pm

Stuart Kettlewell's departure came after four road trips without a win but the fifth placed Steelmen have a 5-3-3 record at Fir Park and are unbeaten in their last four home games.

That record includes a 2-2 draw with Rangers which the Key Match Incident panel suggested could well have been a win with a goal which was wrongly chalked off.

'Well are s big as 14/1 to beat Celtic after 3-0 and 4-0 reverses already this season but 1/5 Celtic are the most probable winners with -2 on the handicap a sporting bet at 11/8 with Bet 365.

RANGERS V ROSS COUNTY  Sunday 3pm

Rangers' securing of a top eight Europa League group stage finish was a superb achievement in the face of serious pressure on the manager and Philippe Clement's side are a best-priced 1/7 for the Sunday accas.

The Staggies have already shipped nine goals to Rangers in two games this season and while their road record improved dramatically with wins at Killie and Aberdeen, they're 16/1 to cause an upset.

John Souttar's return was another bonus for Rangers on Thursday and while Rangers -2 is 11/10, this could be a game to take a chance on -3 at 13/5.

HIBERNIAN V ABERDEEN

Punters are struggling to get a handle on the Dons with layers keeping them short in case of a revival but they were woeful against St Mirren last week and Hibs have to take advantage.

David Gray's chances of staying in charge of Hibs looked as poor as Philippe Clement's at Rangers at one point but they're up to sixth and beating the Dons will put fourth place in their sights.

Keeping all 11 players on the field is key here but Hibs look very fairly priced up at 4/5 to beat the 16/5 Dons and a 9-match unbeaten run can stretch to ten with a victory.

DUNDEE V HEARTS

I tipped Hearts to beat Kilmarnock at 17/20  here last Saturday but I'm back in the Dundee camp here after tipping Tony Docherty's side to win the Scottish Cup derby with United at 2/1.

Dundee had last Saturday off after storm damage killed off their trip to face Celtic but the home players should still be on a high here and I'm relishing another chance to back them at 2/1.

The 5/4 visitors' revival means they're unbeaten in six games but Dundee have drawn at home with Celtic and Rangers in their own six-game spell showing one defeat and I'll take the BTTS saver at 8/11 as well.
