Jackson replacement, James decision, Chalobah benched - Predicted Chelsea line-up vs Brighton
Bobby Vincent shares the Chelsea line-up he expects to see fielded for this evening's Premier League trip to the Amex Stadium to go head-to-head with Brighton once again

Chelsea should theoretically know exactly what to expect this evening when they take on Brighton for the second time in the space of six days.
The Blues were dumped out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage on Saturday night as the visitors threw away a one-goal lead down at the Amex Stadium. Enzo Maresca admitted during his Thursday morning pre-match press conference that it is easier for he and his Chelsea players to prepare for tonight's match because they are so familiar with the Seagulls.
However, the Blues head coach is expecting a very difficult challenge once again as they seek revenge on Fabian Hurzeler's men. With the news that Nicolas Jackson is set to be out of action for the next month-and-a-half at least, it has left Maresca with a big problem in the striker position, with no out-and-out No.9 available because of Marc Guiu's injury as well.
At the weekend, we saw Christopher Nkunku lead the line for Chelsea but Maresca did explain how there are other "solutions" to his problem - although he did not go into too much detail about what that may entail. With that said, football.london's Chelsea reporter Bobby Vincent shares the XI he thinks we might see this evening down at the Amex.
GK: Filip Jorgensen
Robert Sanchez played in the FA Cup defeat but Jorgensen is expected to return for the Premier League game. Maresca said on Thursday that the Dane is his No.1 goalkeeper as things stand.

James was rested at the weekend and has also been given some time off during the week. The captain, though, is expected to return tonight and replace Malo Gusto, who struggled to cope with Brighton's attacking players in the defeat on Saturday.

Tosin or Trevoh Chalobah? For me, I think Maresca will go with the former. He was not at his best at the Amex last week but for the most part, the former Fulham defender has been really reliable when called upon this term.

Colwill is expected to return to the Blues' back line tonight. The 21-year-old England international, who spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Brighton, was rested at the weekend and should be fresh and raring to go later on.

Brighton supporters did not hold back in their anger towards Cucurella at the weekend and we are expecting a very similar atmosphere tonight in the Spaniard's direction.
