Arsenal: White set for return, no setback in Saka recovery

It has been a rough week for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal in terms of injuries, with Kai Havertz ruled out for the rest of the season.
The German joins Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (ACL) and Gabriel Martinelli (hamstring) on the injury table, with Arteta short up top.
But in a major boost for The Gunners, Ben White is considered "available" for Arsenal's trip to Leicester City on Saturday - live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
The right-back has not featured since November after undergoing knee surgery for a long-term issue.
There were also reports that Bukayo Saka had suffered a setback in his recovery, which the Arsenal boss quickly dismissed.
"It's too early (for Saka), he's in (the) early stage of rehab. When he's closer, doing more workload, we will see how he is," Arteta said.
"Ben White is in training more regularly now. We have to manage his load, but he is available."

Liverpool: Alexander-Arnold boost, but Gakpo 'a doubt'

Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from their deflating draw against Everton in a bid to sustain their seven-point advantage over Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
Arne Slot has given updates on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cody Gakpo ahead of The Reds' clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on Sunday.
"It was (the) intention for us to have Trent Alexander-Arnold play for 30 minutes against Everton and he did that. So he will be training with us again. Joe Gomez is out and Tyler Morton is out as well.
"Cody [Gakpo] is a bit of a doubt as well. I had to take him off because of an injury. Let's see how he is today."

Man City: Akanji out for 8-10 weeks in defensive blow

Pep Guardiola has revealed another defensive injury setback, with Manuel Akanji expected to miss potentially over two months with an adductor injury.
"He will have surgery on Saturday and eight-10 weeks out," Guardiola said ahead of their clash with Newcastle on Saturday.
"I just wish him a speedy recovery because the effort he has put in this season has been unbelievable. He and Nathan [Ake] have played in difficult positions.
"There has been a lack of players in that position and his body has said enough is enough."
Jack Grealish was also taken off during Man City's defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and the forward faces a late fitness test ahead of the weekend.
"[Grealish is] not as bad as Akanji," Guardiola said.
"I don’t know if he will be ready tomorrow, I don't think he will be, but we will assess him in the next hours."

Tottenham: Double delight for Spurs as Maddison, Vicario return

Ange Postecoglou has given Spurs some positive news on the injury front, with James Madison "good to go" and goalkeeper [Guglielmo] Vicario back in training.
"It has been a good week in terms of the health and well-being of the men I look after," he said.
"The guys who have been playing have benefited a fair bit.
"Yes, on the injury front it is good to have players back because it raises the quality of our training.
"Vicario, yes. Trained really well. James Maddison is good to go. We’ve had Destiny [Udogie], Wilson [Odobert] and Brennan [Johnson] training with the group.
"They are in a good place."
The Australian also gave updates on Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
"With Micky, we made a decision and the catalyst with that is about looking beyond the injury about how we can get him into a good space. He is working with people on the mechanics of him. He is in a good space, training and feels really good. His return is imminent but we want to get it right.
"With Romero, it has been a healing issue. The injury hasn’t healed as quickly as we would have liked. We could have pushed him but we are just waiting. Depending on what happens, his return could be imminent as well.
"I’m not a doctor. There’s a barrier you can’t cross when talking injuries or medical. Both are training, in different places of their recovery."

Newcastle: Boost for Newcastle as duo return

Anthony Gordon and Dan Burn are set to return to The Magpies' squad for the trip to Manchester City. The duo helped Newcastle overcome Arsenal to reach their second Carabao Cup final in three years, with Gordon on target in both legs of their semi-final meeting.
However, the winger, as well as Burn, were absent for the club's FA Cup fourth-round victory over Birmingham City last weekend.
Eddie Howe has confirmed that Gordon was missing due to a muscle injury but is expected to be fit this weekend, while Burn "could be close".
"Anthony should be fine, he has trained this week, no problems. It was a thigh problem, but he responded well to treatment over the weekend and has trained well," Howe said.
"The initial look on Dan wasn't positive but he had a scan which was good, he has improved a lot very quickly, so he could be close this weekend."

Sven Botman also picked up a knock against Arsenal and although Howe said he is not likely to be available on Saturday, did indicate it was good news that it should only be a short-term issue.
"It’s good news on [Sven Botman] scan, we don't think there's any long-term issue there," Howe added.
"Short-term there's still a bit of pain for him, we think he will miss this weekend. Hopefully, he won't be far away for the following games."

Everton: Ndiaye out 'for a few weeks' with knee injury

Everton enjoyed their final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park as they snatched a late equaliser against their bitter rivals Liverpool, but it came at a cost.
David Moyes confirmed that Iliman Ndiaye, who was forced off after 25 minutes, has suffered a medial ligament injury and will be out of action for the near future.
"It's not looking great at the moment. But probably not sure about how long it is going to be. It's certainly going to be a few weeks anyway."
