Darts sensation Luke Littler had the perfect response after big mate James Maddison scored the winning goal for Tottenham against his beloved Manchester United on Sunday.
The playmaker returned to the starting line-up for Spurs in the weekend's Premier League clash, after missing three weeks on the sidelines with injury. However, he wasted no time in making an impact for Ange Postecoglou's side, scoring after just 13 minutes in what turned out to be the only goal of the game.
It mean another defeat to Ruben Amorim's Man United - and Maddison was quick to take to social media to send a message to Littler, who is a big Red Devils fans. He post a picture on Instagram of his traditional darts-throwing celebration, with the caption "Sorry son @lukethenukelittler".
However, 18-year-old Littler came straight back on his own accouting, posting: "I knew u was thinking about me."
Littler and Maddison struck up a friendship as the youngster stormed to the final of the World Darts Championship in 2024, with England star Maddison a huge fan of the sport. Maddison has invited him to Tottenham games, but Littler of course remains a firm Manchester United fan.

Last year, Littler was invited to Man United's Carrington training centre for a tour and sat in the director's box for a 2-2 draw with Spurs. “Unbelievable, I met Sir Alex Ferguson and got him to sign my top for me,” he told MUTV. “I had a chat with him and I was with [boxer] Tommy Fury as well. It was good to get me in a quite good seat and I actually wore some decent clothes for once, instead of just trackies!”
