Exeter City are among the sides who have been allocated tickets for the Carabao Cup final.

All Premier League and English Football League (EFL) clubs are entitled to a small allocation of tickets for the Wembley showpiece between Newcastle United and Liverpool as a result of competing in the cup. These are normally given to club representatives, but Exeter are continuing their policy of ensuring charity partners, staff and trust members split the tickets.

Exeter 'hope' to receive their full allocation of 12 tickets and the fan-owned outfit intend to give one pair to the Exeter City Community Trust, two pairs to the club and three pairs to trust members. The three sets of tickets going to trust members will be sold at £194 a pair, which was also the case last season.

One pair of tickets will be for the Newcastle area and two pairs will be for the Liverpool area. The seats are normally on the side near the halfway line and Exeter have revealed that they are 'some of the best seats available and well worth the extra expense'.

Those who win the tickets have been warned that they can only wear 'appropriate colours' rather than shirts or scarves from other sides. However, Exeter made it clear that draw winners 'can quietly be supporting the opposing team to the area you are in as the area is normally friendly with supporters from various other teams who have received them in the same way as ourselves'.

While that may naturally raise one or two eyebrows, the Newcastle United Supporters' Club have pointed out that the allocation of cup final tickets to other clubs 'has been happening for as long as we can remember'.

Newcastle were given 31,939 tickets for the west end of the stadium. Although this is a slightly lower number compared to when Newcastle reached the final a couple of years ago, the Magpies have ensured a higher percentage of tickets will be made available to eligible supporters.
