<p>The former RB Leipzig executive joined United in an interim spell last summer and now <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6158217/2025/02/25/manchester-united-christopher-vivell-contract-new/?source=emp_shared_article" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> report the German has signed a 'multi-year contract' to stay in his recruitment role.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that this new agreement will see Vivell, 38, carry on with a reduced salary - at a time when United are planning on making <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/this-cannot-continue-man-utd-confirm-up-to-200-job-losses-ceo-omar-berrada-warns-of-need-to-stop-continuously-losing-money/bltb88318c699ee2bdb" target="_blank">hundreds of staff redundant</a> as part of a cost-cutting initiative. </p>
