Manchester United's torrid season continued after they were dumped out of the FA Cup following a penalty shootout defeat to Fulham at the weekend.

It leaves United with just one realistic hope of winning silverware - the Europa League. Ruben Amorim's men head to Real Sociedad this week looking to bounce back from disappointment at the weekend.

However, the Portuguese head coach will have another thin squad to pick from with as many as nine players injured heading into the tie. The United boss is set to speak to the media later this week and will provide an update on the current injury situation.

Until then, the Manchester Evening News has compiled the latest on what Amorim has said regarding his injured players and possible return dates after Amad was spotted on crutches over the course of the weekend.

Amad

Injury: Ankle ligaments.

What Amorim has said: "Amad is out for sure until the end of the season. He was alone. He was doing a tackle. The feet were sticking in the grass and some players felt during training sickness so it is everything. Sometimes in moments, everything goes wrong but we have to face the challenge and to focus on the next game."
