Borussia Dortmund reportedly lower their asking price for in-demand winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens amid reported interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly lowered their asking price for in-demand winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens amid reported interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 20-year-old spent time in the academies of Reading, Chelsea and Manchester City before following in the footsteps of English talents including Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho by moving to Dortmund in 2020.

Gittens has since developed into a first-team player for the Bundesliga club and has made a total of 70 appearances across the last two seasons, recording 11 goals and four assists in 34 matches so far this term.

The England Under-21 international has recently seen his form dip at Dortmund, who are currently languishing in 10th place in the Bundesliga table and are in danger of failing to qualify for next season's Champions League or Europa League.

Nevertheless, a host of top European clubs are said to remain interested in Gittens ahead of the summer transfer window.

In-demand Gittens set to leave Dortmund this summer?

While Arsenal have allegedly added Gittens to their shortlist of summer targets, Sky Deutschland reports that Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of top European clubs interested in the winger.

Man City and Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest, while Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are understood to have obtained information about the Englishman and are monitoring his situation very closely.

However, playing for a club in the Premier League is said to the 'desired goal' for Gittens and while there are no offers on the table yet for the winger, he is expected to leave Dortmund this summer.

It is claimed that those internally responsible for the sale of players at Dortmund are already preparing for Gittens's departure and are aware that he is likely to be sold if the club fails to qualify for Europe next season.

Dortmund lower Gittens asking price?

Dortmund managing director Lars Ricken and sporting director Sebastian Kehl are said to want around €100m (£83m) for Gittens, who is under contract at Westfalenstadion until June 2028.

However, this valuation is said to be 'rather unrealistic' and so Dortmund could slash their asking price to a figure between €60m (£49.7m) and €70m (£57.9m).

Discussing the form and future of Gittens at Dortmund, Kehl recently told reporters: "You can tell he's frustrated right now. In the end, however, it's all about the team - Jamie knows that too. Nevertheless, he is incredibly important for the club and has made himself a difference player."

Gittens will be hoping to turn his form around and impress interested suitors when Dortmund play host to Lille in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

Dortmund's No.43 has already scored four goals in the Champions League this season, and he became the youngest English player to ever score against Real Madrid in the competition when he netted in a 5-2 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu in October last year.
