Aston Villa are targeting successive away wins in the space of five days when they take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.
Unai Emery’s side come into the game on the back of a 3-1 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
The Bees, meanwhile, are winless in their last six home league games despite winning seven of their first eight this term. They last had a longer run without a league home win between September-December 2006 in League One.
Having won 10 points from their first 12 available away from home in the Premier League this season, Villa have since won just four from a possible 27 on the road.
Emery was boosted by the returns of Tyrone Mings, Matty Cash and Pau Torres against Brugge in midweek.
He will give an update on Amadou Onana and Ross Barkley in his media conference on Friday afternoon.
Emi Martinez will start in goal, possibly behind an unchanged defence of Axel Disasi, Ezri Konsa, Mings and Lucas Digne.
While Cash won a penalty after coming on against Brugge, Emery may favour the height and physicality of Disasi.
In midfield, Boubacar Kamara could make his first start since returning from injury and partner Youri Tielemans.
John McGinn could then push further forward, while Marco Asensio starts as the number 10 and Morgan Rogers off the left.
Predicted Villa XI: Martinez, Disasi, Konsa, Mings, Digne, Kamara, Tielemans, McGinn, Asensio, Rogers, Watkins.
