Hundreds of thousands of fans are flocking to the Cheltenham Festival this week with the Greatest Show on Turf beginning today.

Fans attending will be arriving with their pockets full looking to land a dream return in Gloucestershire, but thick pockets will also be needed to cater for the cost of drinks too.

Like every other major sporting event in the country, the Cheltenham Festival will be setting fans back a hefty amount to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while they enjoyed the atmosphere and cheer on their bets.

And fans will be able to do so by the winning post this year for the first time. Following restriction changes, spectators are allowed to drink beer at the winning post for the first time.

The Jockey Club has lifted its booze restrictions to allow Guinness to go flying trackside for the first time. And bosses at Guinness have ring-fenced supplies for the Festival, so there’s no fear of shortages of the black stuff.
