Wrexham's match away at Wycombe Wanderers needed to be suspended following a medical incident in the crowd.
Medics were called to attend to a fan in the stands. The incident prompted a lengthy delay to proceedings, with the game scoreless at the time of the incident.
Social media reports indicated supporters had signalled for help after realising the severity of the situation. Some were shown clearing space for medics to attend to the fan in question, who was subsequently taken to hospital after leaving the Adams Park stadium in a stable contition.

Eventually, the referee took players from both sides back to their respective changing rooms, with the official having already stopped the game as the supporter in the Wrexham end received medical care. Both teams were cleared to complete the match once the supporter was taken to hospital, and a Sam Smith goal after the restart ensured Wrexham ended the tie as 1-0 winners.

Wrexham eventually confirmed that the individual was stable. "The patient has left the stadium in a stable condition and is on the way to hospital. We’d like to thank the emergency services and staff for their efforts," the club wrote on social media.
"The medical incident has been resolved and the supporter is on the way to hospital with our very best wishes," Wycombe added. "Play will resume with the clock at 76:25 after both sets of players are given 10 minutes to warm up. Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding."
Fans immediately sent well wishes on social media after learning of the incident. "Thoughts and prayers with the Wrexham fan," wrote one, with another saying "Football comes second in situations like this".
"Huge respect to all the emergency services who are trained to respond swiftly when events like this unfold," another social media user wrote. "And they are all working in unison to get the fan the best care possible."

Both teams had gone into the game chasing a win to boost their automatic promotion hopes. Just goal difference separated the teams, with Wycombe second and Wrexham third.
The reverse fixture between the rivals took place all the way back in August. That encounter, on the opening weekend of the season, ended in a 3-2 victory for Wrexham as Steven Fletcher scored the clincher.
Wrexham's four-game unbeaten run had been ended in midweek when they lost 2-0 at Reading. Wycombe entered the game having lost just one of their last 10, against league leaders Birmingham.
