Celtic and Rangers old boys pictured on holiday in wake of Old Firm drama – with cheeky nod to Parkhead win

WHEN Rangers last won at Celtic Park Connor Goldson fired a double at his old Brighton team-mate's expense.
That rotten run of visits to the east end of Glasgow came to an end for the Light Blue legions at the weekend.
And it just so happened Goldson and Shane Duffy were together AGAIN - just as they were back in 2020.
This time though, the Irishman was a lot closer to the Englishman than he was at Celtic Park.
And the co-incidence was not lost on either in the wake of Barry Ferguson's triumph over Brendan Rodgers.
The Ibrox stalwart is now in Cyprus with Aris Limassol but back in the Gers' title-winning season he set Steven Gerrard's side on their way with a brace... at his old pal's expense.
Goldson got in front of Duffy back in October 2020 and glanced a header beyond Vasilios Barkas to open the scoring at the eeriest of Old Firm derbies.
Then he bagged an even rarer brace when he hacked the ball from underneath the Irish international and prodded number two into the net infront of empty stands at Parkhead in the midst of lockdown.
They played together on England's south coast but were pitched against one another across the Old Firm divide on 2020 when Duffy signed for Neil Lennon.
That move met a cheeky response from Goldson and the duo were at it again as they relaxed at a sun-kissed holiday resort with family.
As they posed in the warm temperatures Duffy, wearing designer sunglasses and white t-shirt with his arm around the topless 32-year-old captioned the picture: "Closest I've got to him since he's gone green and white."
That's a direct reference to his new team's colours - Aris play in green and white stripes.
And Goldson shared the same poolside picture.
As he grinned he quipped a reminder of his moment of glory at Duffy's expense: "Parkhead x2."
Other pics shared showed the Norwich defender with one of Goldson's kids on his shoulders as they shared fun family times at the palm-lined resort.
But it's not the first time the pair have made cheeky jibes over their Glasgow stints.
When Duffy pitched up at Parkhead, it was a dream come true for the childhood Hoops fan.
But his old mate quickly chimed in.
Duffy wrote: "My dream to play for Celtic is here. I can’t thank everyone enough who helped me get this move done .
"I will give it my everything for this club to succeed while I am here now let’s go do it I CAN'T wait."
Goldson then replied to his former Brighton teammate with sickness and green-faced emojis, saying: "Does the contract have a 14-day cancellation period?"
